It is that time of the year! So I am getting ready! Are you? I have been a good girl, well mostly, LOL!

We made this cute card at my monthly card class in August and everyone loved it As much as I had fun in putting it together to share!

Merry Christmas

Christmas is my favorite time of the year! A fellow demo friend of mine created a collage that I absolutely Loved...Gina Shappa. And I thought to myself...hmmm...I have all of the supplies to make one on my own and therefore I did just that. It began with the piece in the lower left corner...I already had that as a card and was inspired by her creation to make the other four additions come to life.

So, how are you doing thus far with all of your Christmas and Holiday preparations? Things here at the Rodenberg residence are coming along quite smoothly so far. Decorating is almost complete, cards are ready to go out in the mail, house is in order and just needs a little more dusting and cleaning in the next few weeks in anticipation of our Christmas Day Dinner.

Not sure what the hubby has planned for the big day, menu wise. Although I am quite confident that is will all be delicious and splendid.

~ Merry Christmas! ~

This little pretty was inspired by a fellow demonstrator Barbara Gonzales! I Love how sparkly this card is! The Stampin' Up! Winter Wonder snowflake embossing folder was tucked up way in the upper left corner and then brushed over with Wink of Stella clear pen. We have some pretty gold doilies, gold sequins and such pretty ribbon!

Merry and Bright! So colorful and done so very easily with our beautiful Stampin' Up! designer Christmas card stock Quilted Christmas! A very versatile card layout! Stamp Set used is Hearts Come Home and pretty red sparkly ribbon...all Stampin' Up! quality!

Blue Bells! Created with the oh so very cute Stampin" Up! Bell Punch and some silver and dazzling diamonds card stock.

Those are my shares for today! Not cooking for Thanksgiving this year at our home. We are invited to a dear friend of ours home and Ken is making a delicious potato gratin dish.

We do have a fun weekend ahead of us though with visiting with one of my son's and Chelsea our little sweetheart doggie has a birthday party to attend...along with her mom and dad.

Christmas Wreath

How many of my fellow paper crafting, rubber stamping buddies begin Christmas preparations this early? Me! Me! Me!

LOL! A little group of us gals enjoy getting together almost every week and we each take turns to come up with a project to work on at our gatherings.

This absolutely Beautiful wreath was designed by Dreaming Tree and my dear friends...Liz and Debbie joyously cut on their Cricut to create this project!

My contribution is the background gold foil designer paper and the various little gold bling dots and of course, one of my favorite embellishments, the Fleur de Lis.

Hmmm...now that I am eagerly awaiting my Stampin' Up! pre-order from the All New and up-coming, spectacular Holiday Catalog, which goes live for everyone on September 1st...not patiently, mind you...here I am a tap-tap-tapping on my keyboard...oops! I just saw the mail truck go by...later y'all!!!

Last night I attended my yearly team Christmas Party. Most of us participated in a gift exchange which I so enjoyed very much! We had make n takes, all kinds of delicious food...appetizers, desserts, drinks, etc.

The banner showcased in the above photo is part of the gift that I put together. I love making these!

There are a few others in  process currently and some of my favorite family members and friends will be receiving one from me!

Well...I am off now to get busy in my studio...I also have a Craft Fair for which I am participating and  need to make a few things to sell there along with some retired Stampin' Up! stuff!

Christmas and Love

Hi Crafty Friends!

The Christmas season for me is all about Love. Love of family, friends and our lives. If it were up to me, I would celebrate all year. The Love part, that is. 

My Stampin' Up! involvement has brought so much Joy to my life...it has enriched me in countless ways mostly by being able to share my creations.

The above sampler is an example of what I Love sharing. Making shadow boxes, wreaths, banners, cards and countless other variations of paper crafting items are all an outer expression of what I so very much enjoy doing almost on a daily basis.  

This was made almost entirely with our beautiful Candy Cane Land Christmas designer series paper.

The frame is 12x12 and the squares are 3" each. 

Hoping that Love finds a way into your Heart this Christmas Season!

Paper Pumpkin Christmas Ornament

Hi Fellow Crafty Friends!

Welcome to my humble blog. Earlier this year, I began subscribing to Stampin Up's My Paper Pumpkin. Each month I received a kit that comes with instructions and all materials to create some very nice paper crafts. Sometimes they are cards, one was a little wreath, which I adore and various 3-D items.

This is a version, my interpretation of the most recent kit. I LOVE Christmas! And somewhere out there in Cyberland I saw this idea and have not been able to retrieve it to give due credit.

So, I somehow figured out how to make my own ornament.

A few years back, Stampin Up sold the mica flakes and I had some other retired tools that made this come together quite effortlessly...was a lot easier than I anticipated! I love when that happens!

Let me know what you think...I might have to make at least another version, perhaps pink or something.

Well...on to my next Christmas project! This past Friday I went to the Briar Patch Christmas Fair at a local high school. So many ideas are swimming around in my head...LOL!

And my little Elfie friend has been busy too decorating around the house...she fears it might be a little too cool to venture out to the shed to bring in some more boxes of goodies :) A nice hot cup of chocolate would probably motivate her!

Gingerbread Greetings

Greetings my fellow paper crafting...rubber stamping friends!

Well...as you can see...I have been quite busy lately!

Our beautiful Stampin' Up! designer series paper Candy Cane Lane is probably my all time favorite Christmas paper so far and I have been using and utilizing every single little scrap and piece to my heart's content.

From the right side of the photo is a tag that I created for a swap that was held in October and the  middle tag was created for a swap with my team members earlier in November.

And my little Gingerbread house was put together yesterday while it was gray, cloudy and rainy here in what is usually sunny and warm Phoenix, AZ. Would a collection of these be really cute in an evergreen swag adorning either a fireplace of doorway? OHHH! Now I have to get even busier and make more! 

Other projects that are in process include...wreath making, shadow boxes, banners, Christmas cards all with beautiful Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog products!

~ Poinsettia WOW! ~

Hi Stampers!

Today's share is my first Christmas card of the season, and believe me, if you see it in person, you would be overwhelmingly WOWED by it. It is a  case (copy and share everything) of a beautiful card that I saw created by Deb Valder for the Stampin' Up! Founders's Circle retreat.

~ The poinsettia was stamped with black stazon ink onto a  4x4 window sheet.

~ You need to pool about a one and one half inch spot of crystal effects onto a piece of waxed paper   and mix in 2 drops of cherry cobbler re-inker and then paint onto the poinsettia.

~ You will also need to use a small amount of crystal effects and put one drop of crushed curry into that and paint the berries in the center

~ Next, you sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds onto the wet and let it dry for a good hour. Cut out the flower and then adhere it to the whisper white card stock using some of the crystal effects as an adhesive.

Last week I demonstrated this lovely card at my monthly class.  Everyone was very pleased at having created such an elegant and spectacular little masterpiece!

Recipe:

Stamps: Joyful Christmas
Paper: whisper white, basic black, window sheets p. 156 IBC
Ink: stazon black, cherry cobbler, crushed curry
Misc: crystal effects, dazzling diamonds

~ Christmas Lodge ~

This has to be my favorite stamp set this year and I could not wait to use it! I love the lodge image, it was inked in chocolate chip ink and watercolored with wild wasabi, the snow was highlighted with our gorgeous Dazzling Details glitter and it sparkles so very nicely!

Cherry cobbler is the base card the next layer being chocolate chip with the edges frayed a little, then a layer of stunning Holly Berry Bouquet specialty designer series paper. I cannot wait to used up this entire package as each and every print is just too beautiful and needs to be shared with my family and friends this year!

The new 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon I used is the cherry cobbler. It also comes in early espresso. The sentiment is stamped in cherry cobbler onto some crumb cake cardstock, which was also distressed around the edges.

~ Holiday Stocking ~

Here is another project that we made in class this past Saturday. The original design was created by DeAnn Rauzi. The girls really liked this using the all NEW Holiday Stocking Bigz L Die in our Holiday Mini Catalog. Some very vanilla cardstock was cut and them embossed with the textured impressions folder...Northern Flurry...and the tip and heel and brim of the stocking were impressed with the Lattice folder, then sponged with some soft suede ink and adorned with of course, our lovely rhinestones. The ribbons used to accent the rim were some very vanilla velvet stitched ribbon, very vanilla satin ribbon, and some early espresso wide grosgrain...and...linen thread strung with a few of our cute little mini jingle bells...and...yes...they really do jingle!

~ Snow Swirled ~

We made this pretty easy card in my monthly class this past Saturday. I was looking for something fun, easy and elegant and this is what transpired. The beautiful stamp set Snow Swirled Christmas tree image was inked up with white shimmer frost paint, accented with some of our beautiful rhinestones and framed with our scallped oval die and run through our snowflake embossing folder!

~ Happy Christmas ~

Hi Everyone!

Being that Christmas is only about a month away, in class this morning we all got to create a Santa Claus card using the SU Good Cheer stamp set. The image is colored in with several SU watercolor markers...the edges of the image were torn and brushed with SU bravo burgundy...mounted with dimensionals onto some SU soft suede cardstock and the card base is SU bravo burgundy, adorned with some SU Gold elastic cord which can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog...and little touches of glitter just add that extra zing to Santa...oh and Rudolph...isn't he the cutest reindeer with his bright red nose...all ready to pull Santa's sleigh throughout the night!

~ weSTAMP Christmas Swap ~

This is one of my favorite Christmas stamps sets from Stampin' UP! along with a couple of others. I decided to make this card using the Joy Fold technique. I enjoy making cards that are unique in the way that they open.

This card was created from some leftover cardstock from my friend Marjori's classes. She initiated a contest to see who comes up with the best card...what a great way to "use up" leftovers. I really like this idea.

~ Merry Christmas in July ~

Hi Everyone!

This is also one of my swaps that I will be taking with me to SLC. I signed up for a Christmas Card swap and this is what transpired.

SU real red is the base and always artichoke (my fav SU green) begins the layering with very vanilla and some New designer paper ~ Merry Moments. The center of attention begins with always artichoke and the new SU hostess set Holiday Wishes Merry Christmas sentiment is stamped in SU real red on very vanilla cs. The ribbon, SU real red 5/8" grosgrain is done in a little bow and some real red brads finish it off to the right where the SU ticket corner was incorporated.
