~ The Silver Pheasant ~

Hi Everyone!

In the midst of working on swaps for my upcoming trip to my very first Stampin' Up! Convention this year, I thought that I would take a break and put together my swap cards for my SU group weSTAMP monthly meeting.

The above picture is what I came up with. The base is bashful blue, the next layer is rose red and ww, again for the pheastant layer is rose red, ww, and a bashful blue scalloped border.

The sentiment is from the Oval ALL set in the mini catalog and the little branches are part of the new SU Autumn Days stamp set which will be available July 1st.

Just to let you all know, I will be on vacation beginning next Tuesday, June 23 and will return home on the following Monday, June29th. I doubt if I will have regular internet access, so I will miss all of you and some classes, meetings, but will be enjoying the much cooler temperatures of Telluride, Colorado with my dh Ken and a couple that we travel with regularly.

Happy Stampin!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog world of stamping and paper crafting.

This pretty card was an almost total case, the originator being Cindy Haffner. I really enjoy her creativity. Anyway just thought that I would post one of the latest additions to my family of cards.

~ Pretty Busy ~

Hi Everyone!

Rest assured...that I am very busy stamping and working on swaps for the upcoming Stampin' Up! Convention in August this year that I am attending.

Last night I very happily completed (almost) my first swap design and have cut out all of the elements to put ten of these pretties together. There is just one more final touch that needs to be worked out and they will be ready to go to SLC.

So, you see, although I may not be posting very much in the upcoming weeks leading up to Convention, I am pretty busy these days. I plan on making at least 100 swaps to bring to Convention. This is my first time attending, so I am so very excited!!!

And, I will be going away for a Girls Getaway this weekend up in Prescott. There will also be a Craft Fair on the town square, so how much more perfect can it be!

Blessings to You ALL...

~ Floral Tile Coasters ~

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today!

At my monthly Stamp Class this past Saturday, one of the projects that we worked on were these pretty tile coasters. Last year I received one from one of my dear Divine Secret Sisters from Splitcoaststampers.com. I use it constantly.

Anyway, I decided to share this fun project with the ladies in attendance and as you can see each one created their own version of what they liked best!

As long as you use Stazon Ink, there really is no need to seal the tile. We colored them in using some Sharpie markers and outlined them in a silver pen, which is difficult to see in the photo.

On the back of the tiles, we place a little 1" square of felt on to each corner so that when the tile is placed on a delicate surface, it doesn't get scratched.

Enjoy!

~ Party Dress ~

We also made this cute little party dress card that I cased from my upline Lorri. The Stampin" Up! big shot large scallop die was used and then cut out in the shape of a strapless dress on SU Bella Rose dp. The waist is made of SU ww taffeta ribbon and a clear rhinestone brad. The edging is done with a SU eyelet border punch and the "a note for you" sentiment from the SU retiring Hostess Set "Sweet Little Sentiments" was created by using the SU word window punch. The background was made with the floral cuttle bug folder again using the Big Shot.

Enjoy!

~ Butterfly Happiness ~

Hi Everyone!

We made this card at our monthly class at my home this past Saturday. Stampin' Up! so saffron card stock was used along with some retired SU celebration designer paper. The cut out butterfly was made with the Big Shot and butterfly die and popped up on dimensionals and sparkled with crystal Stickles. The Thank You tag was made with the SU oval all stamp set from the Mini Catalog which is ending June 30 along with the oval scallop punch.

Enjoy!

~ Twilight Inspired Thank You ~

Hi Everyone!

This card was created as a Thank You for my dear friend Anne. She gifted me with an assortment of lavender items including body lotion, shower gel a lovely soy candle and other goodies for my birthday.

The colors used were pretty basic which include SU black and real red and the SU big shot Manhattan Flower folder. I lightly brushed over the embossed flower to bring it out a little more.

Enjoy!

~ Make 'n Take for May weSTAMP Meeting ~

Hi Everyone!

Isn't this little birdie house just too cute? My upline Lorri sponsored the Make 'n Take for our May meeting and this is what she came up with. We all had so much fun making this.

The original design was created by Nichole Heady for Papertrey Ink. If you would like your own template, it can be found at: www.papertreyink.com

Enjoy!

~ Swap Card for weSTAMPMay Meeting ~

Hi Everyone!

The above card was my swap for our monthly weSTAMP meeting at my upline Lorri's beautiful home.

For this card, I used Stampin' UP! pale plum and perfect plum ink and papers. I also incorporated the pretty SU Big Shot Textured Impressions Manhattan Flower embossing folder in the background along with some SU ribbon and non su bling.

Enjoy!

~ Birthday Weekend ~

Hi Everyone!

Just thought that I would share what my dear husband Ken and I were up to this past weekend. It was both our birthdays! Mine was on Saturday May 30th and Ken's was Sunday May 31. We almost always go out for a nice dinner to celebrate and did so with our dear friends Stan and Gayla.

The restaurant was up in Cave Creek and they even printed our names on the menu!
