~ Luau Lady ~

One of my stamping friends just loves to use punches and so while perusing the galleries, this pretty little gal came to my attention. She is made with all Stampin' Up! punches. Everyone had a great time making one at class at my home this past Saturday. Again, I must admit that I am not the original creator of this pretty idea, so if that person does happen to see this post, please email me and I will be certain to give you the proper recognition.

~ Father's Day / Masculine ~

While browsing many, many galleries for the perfect Father's Day card, I came across this cutie and just had to share it with my monthly Stamp Class. If the original artist happens to see this post, please email me and I will give you proper credit.

~ Watercolor Fifth Avenur Floral Rose ~

These pretty cards are all over Splitcoaststampers lately and I had to share the magical experience with my monthly Stamp Class that was held this past Saturday at my home. We had a wonderful time!

~ Sympathy Card ~

Last Monday I received a phone call from a dear friend whom I have been friends with for over ten years. She shared with me that someone that we both knew from the first church that I attended when I moved to Arizona had passed away. This lady was about the same age as us. I am deeply saddened for her family, as they are wonderful people for their loss.

~ Preparing for... ~

Hi Everyone!

Just thought that I would stop by and let you all know that I am very busy getting ready for this coming Saturday's Class that I am holding in my home.

We are going to make three fun cards and I will disclose what they are, but you will just have to wait until early next week when I post their photos. The first one will be a Masculine card, pretty simple, but cute...I really like it, the second one is a Watercolor rose...you probably have seen these all over SCS...well, I had to share this pretty with my stamping buddies...and thirdly, we are going to make a Hawaiian lady out of punches.

The dining room table is cleared off for now of my precious little granddaughters scrapbooking pages and ready to go for this Saturday, May 16th, 10:00 AM.

Hope that all is well with each and every one!

~ A Poetic Tribute to All Mothers ~

My dear friend Traci, one of my Dork sisters posted this beautiful poem on her blog and I wanted a copy of it on my blog, so I borrowed it from her. The author is unknown, but the words brought a tear to my eye as I remember my dear mother whom is in heaven this day.
Enjoy!

Love,
~Linda

~ My Mother's Garden ~

My mother kept a garden
A garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
That gave my life its' start.
She turned me to the sunshine
And encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem...
And when the winds and rain came
She protected me enough-
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant example
Always taught me right from wrong-
Markers for my pathway
That will last a lifetime long.
I am my mother's garden.
I am her legacy-
And I hope today she feels the love
Reflected back to me.

~ Happy Mother's Day ~

Hi Everyone!

Last night I got pretty inky and made some of those beautiful watercolor roses using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set by SU. I was very inspired to make this card by SCS gal, scrappyhappy, her version can be found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1338646?cat=16116

This card was made with the above mentioned stamp set, using SU rose red as the background, the SU top note die using Bella Rose designer paper, the SU eyelet border punch is green dp from SU Walk in the Park, the little green leaves are certainly celery using the SU die Little Leaves and the ribbon is SU 5/8" White Organza.

Hope that you all have a very Happy Mother's Day!

Love,
~Linda

~ SCS Challenge 227 ~

Good Morning!

Last night I visited Splitcoaststampers.com and I usually like to see what is new for the Wednesday sketch challenge and this time I really liked what I saw and decided to play along.

In my top drawer, next to my desk were some scraps just waiting to be used and so they were...the result is the pretty simple card that I came up with.

Baja breeze cardstock is the base along with some close to cocoa for the strip and so saffron for the eyelet border and the oval scallop, stamped with Best Wishes from the Mini Occasions catalog set Oval All Walk in the Park designer series paper was used, a little cream colored ribbon and some gold bling...and there you have it!

Enjoy!

~ Happy Scrappin' in May ~

Hi Everyone!

Last week I finally decided to get going on my little twin granddaughters, Keira and Kaley's scrapbooking adventures. As you can tell by the above photo, my dining room table is covered with pages of scrapbook items, paper, photos, mat papers, ribbons, flowers, brads, buttons, bling, pom poms, you name it; it is going into this scrapbook.

This is a work in progress and I have been going through my "stuff" that I have saved in the past eight months or so, that is how old the girls are as of May 2nd, and pulling it all out.

Just thought that I would take a little break and share with you what I have been working on lately and also have some ideas for my next Card Class on Saturday, May 16th at 10 am at my home.

Hope that you are enjoying your own crafty adventures, wherever they take you these days...I know that I am also going to try and keep cool, it is supposed to be around 100 degrees for the next week...oh, well, that is Arizona.

Love,

~Linda

~ Simple May Day Floral Card ~

This easy card in celebration of May Day is created for a challenge hosted by one of my SCS group of wonderful girlfriends "The Dork Sisters".

Baja breeze cardstock, along with SU Walk in the Park designer paper and SU eyelet border punched in whisper white is accented by a Baja breeze bow.

The sentiment "Happy" is from the infamous "Happy Everything" stamp set.

Enjoy!

~ May Day Pretties ~

This morning as I opened the blinds in my bedroom, I peeked outside and to my surprise one of my bouganvilla plants appeared to have formed the shape of a heart.

Immediately I took my camera and went to capture this wonder of nature and the above photo is what resulted.

Enjoy!
