Four Feathers Birthday

Another birthday was celebrated this past weekend with some of our dear traveling buddies and fellow foodies! We had a blast! Our gracious hostess served a lovely brussels sprout salad with apples, along with some fluffy sweet potato dinner rolls, a side of mashed butternut squash and turnip. The main dish was a pork roast which had been marinating for three days! Was to die for!

Other guests provided some lovely appetizers and my dear husband created the very BEST...cheesecake! Yes, better than the Cheesecake Factory!

Oh, well...you are probably more interested in the above project which was for our Birthday Queen!
Turquoise is her favorite color and she likes southwest decor, so what better way for me to create something unique just for her!

Recipe:

Stamps: Age Awareness, Gorgeous Grunge, Four Feathers (retired)
Ink: tempting turquoise, versa mark
Paper: tempting turquoise, whisper white, vellum
Misc:  four feathers thinnest (retired), hello you thinlets, silver ribbon, dazzling diamonds, dimensional, pewter embossing powder, white embossing powder, iridescent ice embossing powder

Well...there you have it! I hope that you had an awesome weekend too!

Funny thing here in Phoenix, AZ right now...it is cold and rainy and what better thing to do...stay home and create!

Dinner is in the crockpot...some fall off the bone beef ribs in tomato sauce with some of Ken's homemade pasta!

Happy Stamping!

Falling Leaves

Happy Monday!

Wanted to share a pretty Fall card that I cased (copy and shared) this past week. Found this during my research and wrote the name of the original designer down somewhere...but I cannot find it! When I do, I will edit this post and include it.

I just LOVE the color combination on this little pretty!

This time of the year is one of my favorites here in the Valley of the Sun. The temperatures are cooling down significantly, only in the 80's now and believe it or not...I enjoy wearing a light sweater!

The Recipe:

Ink: cherry cobbler, early espresso

Paper:  kraft and white corrugated paper, merry moments designer paper pack, whisper white, delightful dijon, old olive

Stamps: Vintage Leaves

Accessories: cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon, non SU gold wide ribbon, gold thread, gold sequins, lace ribbon, leaflets framelits dies

Hope that you are happily creating something this week!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Fall

This banner was inspired by one of my fellow demonstrators C.J. Boyce.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year here in Arizona.  The temps drop and people begin to venture outdoors more often.

Enjoy!

Petite Purse Favors

Hooray! I finally figured out how to add photos to my blog via my new computer, an iMac!

Things that make me happy!!! Of course at the top of my list is creating goodies via my love of paper crafting!

These little pretties will be going to some awesome fellow Stamping' Up! Demonstrators this coming Saturday to celebrate Convention..at home style. We will be viewing some of it live and a fellow demo who is in Salt Lake City will be keeping us updated as to what is happening! I believe there will be nine of us in attendance...we are going to woop it up with Prize Patrols, a shoe box swap, favors, lots of goodies, enjoying lunch together and lots of fun!

This is the first year that I am not attending the annual Convention in Salt Lake City, UT.
Although I will greatly miss all of the excitement and fun, it was just not meant to be.

The purses are made of various retired colored Stamping' Up! card stock, the pretty floral folder that was featured in our Occasions Catalog earlier this year and some little flower embellishments that were added.

Of course, they contain a variety of little goodies that I purchased from Party City!

Hope that you are having fun creating lately...I know I am...it is just a tad too hot here to venture out in the middle of the day...so here I am in my Studio cutting and stamping away!

Enjoy!

Ink: versamark, mint macaroon, soft sky, wisteria wonder markers
Paper: whisper white, basic black, wisteria wonder, soft sky
Misc: black embossing powder, NEW butterfly dry embossing folder, basic rhinestones, white signo gel pen, wisteria wonder silk ribbon, dimensionals.

Stampin Up 2015-2017 In Colors

Hi Stampers!

Today I bring you a sampling of the all new Stampin Up 2015-2017 In Colors. They are so very pretty and go well either together or combined with any of our beautiful color collections!

In my future posts, I will be sharing some of my projects with these very exciting additions in more ways than one. They are also accompanied by some very lovely lacey ribbon, which, at the top of this bookmark is attached some mint macaron!

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend so far. It rained here in Phoenix, AZ on and off all day yesterday, which is very unlikely for the month of June. Ahhh, the air is much fresher now and my little herb garden is just loving the natural sprinkling of water from above.

That is all for now...until next time...

Happy Stamping!

Hello Life Project Kit ~ My Way!

Hi Stampers!

Today I bring you the awesome Stampin' Up! Hello Life Project Kit! It is being carried over to the New and Upcoming Stampin' Up! 2015~2016 Annual Catalog! I am so excited!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed putting this kit together and while many of you like the Occasions catalog version, I will admit I am really not much of a yellow person, but PINK, on the other hand is one of my favorite colors! I used the retiring in-color Strawberry Slush. I am sad to see it go...but there is always another favorite PINK...Rose Red!

You receive so much in this kit! Enough to make at least 10 additional beautiful cards!

There you have it for Cinco de Mayo!

Go forth and Celebrate!

Happy Stampin'

Happy Birthday!

We will be celebrating my older son's 40th birthday tonight, although his actual birthday is tomorrow! For those of you whom have families, you might understand how that goes, being that it is Easter Sunday.

Artie turns 40 tomorrow...I have to shake my head...how can this be when I still feel like I am 30?
Anyway, tonight we celebrate with the family with all the fun and frolic we can muster up!

Some information regarding this card...he loves cars! So I used the beautiful Stampin' Up! Classic Pick Ups wood mounted set! And, being it is a masculine card, I kept it neutral and metallic.

Recipe:

Stamps: Classic Pick Ups (retired), Bring on the Cake (retired)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Metallic
Accessories: Black Satin ribbon (non-SU0, silver brads (retired), corner ticket punch (retired),
Curly Label Punch

Birthday Bows!

Today I am sharing with you a gift ensemble that I put together for a dear friend of mine, whom I met via a Meetup group that gets together almost weekly to enjoy different ethnic eateries for lunch around the Phoenix area. I enjoy trying different flavors and sometimes attempt to mimic the dishes in my home cooking for my dear husband!

Well, anyway that is another of one of my life's simple pleasures that keep me out of trouble...Ha!

The above photo includes a gift bag and card with the gift (photo below) that I put together for my friend's birthday of which my husband and I will be celebrating with later this evening.

Stamps: non SU birthday greeting
Paper: whisper white, Sweet Sorbet dsp (retired)
Ink: black stazon
Misc: bow punch, flower punch, dahlia punch, Sale A Bration ribbon, retired in color button

Ok, now to explain the shadow box gift...Part of being an active Stampin" Up! Demonstrator is attending meetings once a month with my fellow enthusiasts. At one of our meetings last year, we were each asked to create a certain number of "inchies" (although they are almost actually 2" in size).
We swapped them out and  the above photo beautifully displays all of the wonderfully talented ladies' mini masterpieces!

My contribution is the one in the upper left hand corner made with our lovley spiral die.

Well...there you have it for this week!

Stay Happy! Stamp and Create!
