~ Stampin' Stars Blog Hop ~

Good Morning Everyone!

Thank you for hopping today with us, “Hopping Just for the Fun of it”. Today’s theme is ALL HOLIDAYS, meaning just that, we all need to have cards ready for just that special holiday ahead of time or maybe we will have a test card first, before making all the cards needed for the holiday... Plan on visiting us each month, the next hop will be the first Saturday of the Month. You may of came today from Stop #{14}http://www.mycreativeimpressions.com/ , I happen to be Stop # {15} of 18 stops along the way this month.

Now that the surprise is over, I can reveal what has been keeping me quite busy this week, making a Birthday Banner for my dear, kind & wonderful upline Lorri Heilling! You see, it is her 50th birthday!

Behind the scenes, for quite some time now, many of her family, friends, downline, sidelines and whomever else was asked to have been prepraring for probably one of the most surprising parties of her life :)

Well...I volunteered to make her a Birthday Banner and I was so excited to see it come together!

This measures just about 7 feet long, so it was a bit of a challenge to photograph, therefore, I divided it into three photos.

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Paper: various SU retires dsp, so saffron, certainly celery, chocolate chip, whisper white
Embellishments: chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, jewels basic rhinestones
Tools: pennant die (retired), blossom bouquet triple layer punch, 1 3/4 " circle punch, dimensionals, polka dot embossing folder

And...wouldn't you know it...I just had to make a coordinating birthday card too!

Lorri just LOVES chocolate and rightly so, here is a delicious chocolate cake...one with NO calories...LOL!
This is a case of one of her beautiful swaps that I received at the Stampin' Up! Convention.
I feel truly blessed to have Lorri in my life, both as a dear friend and my SU upline!

Stamps: well scripted (retired)
Ink: chocolate chip
Paper: certainly celery, so saffron, chocolate chip, retired SU dsp
Embellishments: jewels basic rhinestones

~ Spooky Halloween Card ~

This card was made for a swap with my Dazzling Divas Downline Group. Our theme for the swap was Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and I came across this little pretty whose original creator is Heather Van Duker.
Isn't it just too cute! I really enjoyed making the little broom especially out of a toothpick, some hemp twine and holding it together with some of our beautiful SU rich razzleberry grosgrain ribbon!

Stamps: wicked cool
Ink: cajun craze, old olive, rich razzleberry, craft white, basic black
Paper: whisper white, old olive, rich razzlebery, cajun craze, basic black
Tools: ribbon punch, scalloped oval punch, oval punch
Embellishments: basic jewels rhinestones, rich razzleberry grosgrain ribbon, wide black striped ribbon, hemp twine

Well, there you have it! What a week this has been! I always wonder what stamping adventures will turn up and you can be assured that there are plenty of opportunities for me to either initiate or participate!

Don’t forget we leave comments if possible. To continue the hop, the next Stop # 16 at www.artfulimagination.blogspot.com/
I am sure you will enjoy her projects this month. If you should happen to get lost anywhere thru the hop. you can go to the main blog, Hopping Just for the Fun of it. Thanks for hopping with us.

  8. EVERYTHING is fantastic. I bet Lori was surprised. I could see making her BD card as a wedding card if it was done in different colors. TFS
